Instability demands adjustments this week

For the week ahead (July 12-July 18), there’s an extraordinary influence of external factors, over which we have no control.

The option before us is to work around these influences.

The one card that stands out this week is Temperance, which got pulled thrice.

The card asks us to bring moderation. It points towards making compromises or becoming more accommodating in certain circumstances.

Which area of life could this be about? For one, cards related to Cancer, which governs the foundation of your home and family, your life’s inner sanctum if you will, appeared four times. 

A strange finding in this week’s readings is that Pentacles, the tarot suit that relates to stability, money and all material aspects, is entirely missing in this week’s readings.

In the literal sense, this could raise issues around finances.

In another sense, this could mean matters are fluid with no firm outcome or standing. Let’s say there are no boundaries. In a fluid state, plans can take longer to develop roots.

But, interestingly, cards related to Venus, the planet of abundance and love, have appeared six times. But with VII of Cups (a Venus card) appearing twice, characteristics such as greed could accompany abundance, which is another reminder of Temperance’s message of maintaining moderation.

Taurus, the mainstay house of Venus, is absent, which supports the presumption around stability issues created by the missing suit of Pentacles.

So what does Venus’ presence indicate here? It could highlight the importance of relationships and the necessity of maintaining social grace.

The elemental tilt is excessively towards water. Expect an emotionally charged week.

The Queens, which lend warmth and sensibility, are missing for the third time in a row. The maturity needed to handle such situations could be lacking.

Delusional energies prevail this week, making it important to get clarity before key decisions.
