Fresh starts, courage needed to build momentum towards peace
Phew! What a week it has been, given the skirmish between India and Pakistan.
In the card readings for the previous week (May 5- 11), I had mentioned how “sudden changes driven by fiery passion” await the collective.
The appearance of several Major Arcana cards last week indicated “strong extraordinary, external factors”.
Thankfully, these external, extraordinary factors have been reduced to less than one-third of the cards pulled for the upcoming week (May 12- May 18).
From conspicuous absence of the Queens last week — the warmth — this week the Queen of Wands has appeared with a wand in one hand (read, a fiery will) and a sunflower in the other.
The fiery side of the three Knights of Wands has been balanced by an equal number of Knights of Cups galloping with a soft stride this week.
Together, the six Knights point towards a quick momentum in developments.
By the time I had wound up the readings for the Week Ahead, a ceasefire had been announced.
Given the undercurrents projected by the cards for the coming ‘Week Ahead’, the situation is still dicey. Numbers that stand for stability and harmony — four and six, respectively — appear only once. On the other hand, Mars, the warrior planet, appears six times.
However, turning points and new beginnings are expected, hopefully for the better, given that Number 1 has appeared five times.
Water element cards (13 in number) make a strong comeback this week, marginally trumping the fire element cards. Last week, if you recall, the water element was decimated by fire, and I had mentioned that the week would be devoid of emotions and empathy.
What underscores the upcoming week is one word — courage — to cover the journey from heartbreaking dejection to happiness.
As for the Mars energy, channel it at work and other fruitful activities.
